Biography
In Own Words:
Curling is a great mental game as well as being a good physical work out. I love the social aspect of curling and have met some great people from all over the world because of curling.

Curling Highlights:
4 Scotties, 2 Olympic trials, women's skins games(great fun and lots of cash!)

Who\What introduced you to Curling?
My parents and brothers and sisters

Do you have any pre-game superstitions or rituals?
not really

What is your career highlight to date?
Runner up in 2001 Olympic Trials, Runner up in 2002 Scotties

What is one shot you would like to try again?
Inturn hit for 3 in Scott final

Who was influential in your curling development?
My family, coach Ron Meyers, coach Rick Folk

What is your favourite sport other then curling?
golf

What is your most embarrassing moment on the curling ice?
Wiping out and hitting my head and blacking out in our Ladies Northern playdowns

What is your earliest curling memory?
Having the principal pull me out of my grade 4 class to ask me if I would skip the school team.

What kind of Training Regimen do you follow?
weights 3-4 times a week, practice 4 times a week

What are your curling strengths?
experience. Lots of experience:)

What are your curling weaknesses?
I prefer to think I have no weaknesses:)

What kind of goals have you set for yourself?
Scotties winner, worlds, Olympic trials

Do others in your Family curl?
yes. Most of my family members all used to curl. 5 of my brothers and sisters still curl

What do you enjoy most about curling?
The competitiveness.

What have you learned through curling?
That at the end of the game, it is still just a game. Your health, your family and loved ones are still the most important things in your life.

Other Olympic Sport you'd like to try?
Badminton

What would you like others to know about curling?
It is not as easy as the teams you watch on TV make it look. It takes years of practice to get that good.

Most memorable curling experience?
Playing in the Delisle ladies annual spiel with 3 friends (2 of which don't really play) and laughing our heads off the whole time.

Who is your greatest competitor?
Almost every one of the teams we play each game.

Fred Couples, Rick Folk, Ed Wernich

What other sports do you play?
golf

What is the best advice you've ever received?
It is not an arm or a leg, it is a curling game!

I would like to go to China

winter Olympics

What do you wish you were better at?
I wish I could speak French

In Palm Springs golfing with our friends

reading, golf caddy for my husband, wine making, crocheting, fishing

salads of all kinds

Something special about your home town?
I grew up in Christoper Lake, SK. It is at the start of the boreal forest in Saskatchewan and close to numerous beautiful lakes.

Who is your favourite book?
my favorite author is Wilbur Smith

Coolest city you've lived in?
The only "city" i lived in was Prince Albert. It was the best because of all of the great friends I had and have there still.

What is your favourite colour?
PURPLE!

Any interesting travel experiences?
I traveled to Europe for 2 months when I was in my early 20's. There was several crazy experiences that happened there but they are way too long a story to get in to.
